Add electric power to your everyday drive and enjoy a plug-in hybrid that considers tomorrow without compromising today’s experience.
Hill Descent Control offers controlled descents on steep, rough and slippery roads. When activated, it helps you descend smoothly from 8 to 40 km/h (5 to 25 mph) using engine braking or, if needed, by braking each wheel individually – you just have to steer. You can brake anytime or, if you prefer, accelerate to adapt the speed. The smooth accelerator characteristics of Hill Descent Control also make it easier to drive off when towing a heavy trailer or a boat up a ramp. It also works in reverse gear.
Our micro hybrid technology including a Start/Stop function further reduces fuel consumption and exhaust emissions in the city. When you stop at a traffic light or in a traffic jam, the engine shuts off temporarily to eliminate idling and restarts instantly when you resume driving.
The high-gloss black front grille with horizontal mesh adds a sporty, purposeful touch to your Volvo.
Our panoramic roof adds a superb experience of airiness and light for everyone inside your Volvo. For ventilation, the front section opens at the push of a button. A power-operated sunshade in perforated textile reduces glare on sunny days while maintaining the airy feel inside the cabin. The sunshade opens from the rear so your rear-seat passengers can enjoy the ambiance of light while the driver and the front-seat passenger are still shaded. Dark tinted laminated glass further increases climate comfort and security and helps protect against UV radiation.
This aerodynamically designed 18-inch 5-double spoke wheel perfectly complements the rugged yet sporty character of your Volvo. The Diamond Cut design with contrasting surfaces of raw, polished aluminum and high-gloss black paint adds to the distinctive, high-tech look. The aerodynamic design helps to lower air resistance, which can contribute to improved fuel efficiency. Prepared for iTPMS (Indirect Tire Pressure Monitoring System).
Independent of weather, the powerful electric heater and air conditioning allow you to enjoy a comfortable cabin climate in your Volvo. A preconditioning function ensures that you can always enter a cabin that’s comfortably climatized before you go—whether it’s cold or hot on the outside. And preconditioning the car while charging will save battery energy and optimize your range in Pure electric mode. For optimized vision and comfort in cold weather, you can activate heating of the front seats, steering wheel, windscreen, rear window, and door mirrors. Preconditioning is conveniently operated from your mobile phone via the Volvo Cars app, or simply by using the car’s center display. Start it directly or select from preset times for departure.
Small details can make a big impression. This standard plastic remote key fob shell perfectly reflects the craftsmanship and clean design inside your Volvo.
Open or close the tailgate conveniently from the outside using the remote key. Or via buttons on the tailgate or the dashboard. Sensors around the tailgate opening help enhance safety when closing the tailgate. The power tailgate can also be programmed to open to a lower height than its maximum, very useful if you park in a garage with limited roof height. For extra convenience when loading, integrated illumination lights up the area under the tailgate. And to make it easy to open the tailgate when your hands are full, you can add a comfortable hands-free opening and closing function – just move your foot under the rear bumper and the tailgate opens and closes at your convenience.
All five occupants will appreciate the comfort of an ergonomically designed seat. The easily adjustable front seats make it easy to find the perfect seating position. Further enhancing the versatility of your Volvo, the rear seat is easy to fold individually into the cargo compartment floor so you can transport passengers and/or cargo without compromising on either comfort or safety.
This feature can support in heavy traffic and when reversing. When a vehicle enters your blind spot or approaches fast from behind, you can be alerted via a light in the door mirrors. Should you nonetheless drift into the path of another vehicle, your car can help steer you back into your lane. To help make parking safer, it can also alert you on crossing traffic when you reverse out of a parking space with limited rear visibility. It can even brake for you if there’s a risk of collision.
Further helping to protect the driver's lower legs in the event of a frontal collision, a knee airbag is installed above the pedals. The knee airbag is deployed together with the other airbags and supplements the seat belt, the seat belt tensioner, the brake pedal release and the integrated knee protection under the dashboard to help optimize protection.
This feature assists you at speeds above 65 km/h (40 mph). If you're about to cross a lane marking without using the indicator, the vehicle will gently steer you back into the lane. If the steering intervention is not enough or you keep steering across the lane markings, you'll be alerted with vibrations in the steering wheel.
